NATHAN MANDELBAUM

SYNOPSIS

SHAKED HAMAR

The Israeli artist Nathan Mandelbaum radicalizes the usual approach of dealing with the suffering of the innumerable victims of National Socialism by inviting the viewer into the center of terror, where every narration, every memorial ends: to the last perception of millions of victims of the Shoa. He does without the ususal clichés of images and words and still creates an impression of matchless trepidation, which refers the viewer back to his/her own existence and the existential difference to the victims of the Holocaust.
