Swiss artist Ruedi Baum wants to place the copy of the top of an alpine mountain – his dream is the peak of the Matterhorn – true to its original size into a museum. The atmosphere of perfect seclusion, the romantic craving for the intensive experience of sublime, isolated nature – transferred into spaces of unsurpassable artificiality and dramatization: “Peak” belongs to the most spectacular sculptural, almost architectural works of the “cologne contemporary”.
